Bodywork

Race glass for the track, carbon for the street, windscreens for both. Fairing kits turn a street bike into a crashable track bike; carbon pieces, windscreens, and tank grips dress and protect what's already there.

The decision

Going track-only? Fiberglass race bodywork with your stock plastics boxed in the garage costs less than one crashed OEM fairing. Staying street? A double-bubble windscreen and tank grips are the $150 version of the same idea. Carbon is bought with the eyes — price it honestly against paint.

Dependencies. Race fairings need a fairing stay and fastener kit, and usually delete the lights — plan the tail-tidy and electronics changes around the swap.
